Day Nine: Workin' Woman!
I start my CNA (STNA) class on Tuesday! From 8am-4pm every day for 2 weeks. After that, I'm working at the local hospital. I am SO ready for this! I'm anxious because it's at the career center. That means there will be LOTS of HS students AND adults there to learn. Big crowds of strangers make me realllly anxious, but I'm going to get PAST that for the sake of my future, and more importantly-for the sake of the ability to care for my son financially.
I already researched everything about moving to TX and this job. The certification transfers with no problems at all. You simply contact the boards of nurses in the state you're moving to, send them your info and photo i.d., and then they send you your new cert to your new address. I also looked up CNA jobs opportunities in the DFW area...there are literally THOUSANDS. It's the job with the HIGHEST demand in that area, right now! CAN YOU SAY YAYAYAYAYAYAYYYYYY? Okay. Rant over.

Day Six: Sorry about the break!
My blog was unavailable from the time of my Day Five post until now. So, here's day 6, though it's pretty darn late!
One of my absolute favorites from a shoot I did with Michelle Black. We were really into it, this time. I don't believe either of us has gotten so emotionally involved in a shoot, before. She told me it was by far some of her best work, and I'm certain is was mine. While lying in this alley way by CPAC in down town Cambridge, I felt like a victim, relating to the things I have already gone through and things my friends have gone through. Lying on the ground with my dress pushed up and my limbs fragile and broken looking, I went to a place in my mind I didn't know existed. This allowed me to connect with the lense and fill the gap that lots of people have a hard time grasping between model and photographer. It was a very good day.

Day Five: Wishes, Love, Laughter.
K is starting to fill my days with his laughter, smiles, talking, coos, and attempts at crawling and walking. He's 4 months and 3 days old, today...and he's turning over from his back to his belly and back again. He's so strong! He's so advanced for a 4 month old. Every thing I read and everybody I ask tells me he's just growing and gaining knowledge faster than most infants his age. I have never been so proud of one of my own accomplishments in my life-or of somebody else's. This child brings me both in one tiny, fat little package. I love my son.
